I'm a fan of the Arts & Crafts Movement, especially Craftsman architecture with its emphasis on cozy and practical - yet beautiful - homes. When asked once to coin a word that describes what I do, Ideacrafter came immediately to mind. Crafting makes use of raw materials to create something artistic or functional--sometimes both.

Ideacrafter fits me like the oaken coziness of my Mission style rocking chair. As a counselor and teacher, I spent an entire career helping people to use the raw materials of their own ideas to craft functional - even artful - lives and careers.

As a writer, I use my own ideas to craft words into artful, informative articles and essays. I use my counseling and teaching skills to draw out the essence of other people's ideas in order to write about them, or to help them tell their own stories. 

This site is both a place to share my writing and to let you know how you can hire me. whether to write for your publication or to help you more effectively craft your own ideas for your resume, letters, business materials, or your personal writing.
